- Hosting Providers
The following is a list of hosting providers with whom I've had recent experience. You are not limited to this list in any way while deciding on your own. -
Assignment:
1. Read handout "Visible vs. Invisible Design"
2. Read handout "Red Flags (Warning Signs) in Web Development"
3. Prepare a proposal for your web site and purchase hosting space. Your site may address any topic and may be a customer-driven project if you so choose. You may want to include an initial sitemap in your proposal to illustrate your thoughts regarding navigation. Format your proposal for presentation to the class next week. You will have 15-20 minutes to discuss your initial plan.
Keep in mind that your finished project should be portfolio quality and exhibit as many of your skills as possible in a pleasing and cohesive manner. It should be at least 8-10 pages and reflect good design practice, including code compliance, organic SEO, useability (Section 508), and so on.
